Quitting smoking

Smilyblue & Smilypurple here and we are trying to quit smoking. Let us tell you about us:

Smilyblue decided to quit smoking because she started running. She trained for her first 5K benefit run and did well (in her mind) and is training for a 10K. Smilyblue can run 6 miles but knows her performance is lacking due to smoking even if she makes sure she runs as soon as she gets up in the morning after 8hrs of smoke-free sleep. Oh and she has tried several methods of quitting from the nicotine patch, nicotine gum, Chantix medication, cutting down each day to quitting cold turkey. No success and has never been smoke-free for more then 24hrs. Smilyblue has been smoking for 27 years.

YUCK!!!
Smilypurple wants to have a kid and doesn't want to introduce toxic crap to the unborn, isn't she a great gal. Smilypurple has tried to quit smoking too but didn't want to lose her frequent breaks at work (just kidding). Smilypurple has been smoking for 20 years and isn't really ready to quit. Smilyblue is forcing ecigs on her.

On the serious note; SMOKING KILLS THE LUNGS and yes, we still want to smoke.

I like the ones on the left
Smilyblue & Smilypurple like the smell of clean clothes from the dryer, too bad the nice smell only lasts a few minutes before the cigs have their way with them. Don't get into Smilypurple's car if you hate the smell of cigarette smoke. You can go into Smilyblue's house cuz she doesn't smoke in the house just stay away from the back porch.

Okay, lets get going on the bloggin...

Having a quit-smoking counter on our desktop or phone gives us some inspiration; how much money we saved, how much life we gained, what are some of the benefits smoke free and etc. The link below has a counter at the end of the main page to put on your desktop. There are applications on phones as well if you have web connection.

So then Smilyblue found electronic cigarettes "ecigs" while searching on the web. She introduced ecigs to her best friend ,Smilypurple, and now they are both checking them out. There is much info out there on ecigs so Smilyblue & Smilypurple wanted to begin blogging now so they can add their findings as they go. Using ecigs is considered "vaping" not smoking. There is no tar or 4000 chemicals in ecigs like the real cigarettes. Real cigarettes are called analogs. Ecigs have 3 ingredients; water, nicotine and/or PG and VG and operated by using a battery and heating coil. They will explain more later.

Here is Smilyblue & Smilypurple:
We ordered our first The Yeti Starter Kit from http://www.altsmoke.com/. This is a 510...

We also purchased ejuice which is what makes the vapor to add to the cartridges. Fast shipping here. Ok, there is some terms that need to be clarified and should tell you what a ecig is and what it does. First off, ecigs are for adult use only and not really for non-smokers. Ecigs are for smokers trying to quit and may or may not work. But it's worth the try.

Look at the link below to begin:
http://www.howtovape.com/

Here are the parts to a ecig. There are many different types of ecigs but this gives a general explanation.

We suggest you go do some research and find some vendors on the web. Do not get ecigs from the Mall because they are way too expensive. Ecig starter kits should not be more then $40-60 and should contain 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, 5 cartridges and charger cord. Please share anything about the-vaping-world with us even if you don't believe in ecigs. We aren't sensitive...

We will return to post later after we learn more...

OH WAIT!!!....did I mention two very important things here?

Smilyblue has not had a real cigarette for 7 days
Smilypurple has not had a real cigarette for 1 1/2 days

NOW THAT IS INSPIRATION!!!

  1. Hey Jenn here... So everything DD said is right on..I love my cigarettesand was a pretty hard sell..But after DD tried the Ecig and loved it I knew it was time to try!!!Best decision I ever made!!! I do want children and the thought of all the chemicals in my body killed me...but still I didn't quit.I am not someone to sell on something I don't believe in a 100 percent. But vaping has the exact effect minus 4000 chemicals. So once DD and I are determined to do something we give it all we have.DD being a runner like she said still wasn't enough to give up the cigs.Who knows what it would take but I don't want to smoke that long to find out.We will definitly be updating with our progress and everything we learn about vaping along the way.I am excited to become healthy again and who knows maybe run with DD one day....uummmmm...PROB NOT!! hahahahahah Happy vaping..stay tuned :)
