eGo from Liberty-Flights

I got a Blue EGO from Liberty-Flights and it's the best thing I have gotten so far. I did de-wick an atty to get a better throat hit and vape...beautiful results! I mainly drip now because it gives me everything I want in an ecig. Still going strong with vaping. Just loving it...

Trying different flavors. So far I like banana and strawberry during the day.
Irish cream is one of my choices for night time vaping.
Got both of these from FreedomSmokesUSA

Dripping

A few days ago I wasn'ts feeling well and for some reason was not liking the taste of my ecigs at all no matter what juice I tried. I even went back to my 510 set up from my Riva which is kind like going backwards. I decided to buy a 510 passthru and got my drip tip out.

I dripped right into the tip but was not liking the juice on my lips. So I found on http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ that taking off the drip tip and dripping juice right onto the atty then replacing the drip tip made a difference. Well, it did in a big way. A much better flavor and a nice vape. The throat hit isn't that bad either and I tried the different combinations of PG and VG.
The thing I am liking about dripping is, I can vape a few "puffs" and put it down for a while. I was vaping a whole lot before on my cart/atty as well as refilling often. I didn't care for the headache from too much nicotine nor feeling the need to vape so much. But now that I have found dripping I am liking vaping much more. I have found that vaping the sweeter and smoother juices are much better then the typical tobacco juices. The one thing I like about vaping tobacco flavors occasionally is that it reminds me of smoking taste (especially purecig from freedomsmokeusa) which in turn keeps me from wanting to light up an analog out of curiosity. But for the most part, I like the sweeter/smoother tasting juices.

I thought for sure that I would never like dripping because of the hassle but now it's totally awesome. I don't need to fill up the carts and waste a lot of juice. I also like the fact that I can only get a few puffs from a drop of juice so I don't feel the need to keep vaping for hours.

Organizer

I found this organizer at Michael's craft store. It was advertised to be used for rolls of ribbons. Holds my ejuices of various sizes and extras nicely. The dividers are adjustable. I keep the organizer in a small dark basket to keep away from my pets and light.

Getting tired and need to go to bed. Hopefully I won't have another dream of smoking an Analog cigarette and getting sick. The smell and taste of Analogs just makes me sick. Isn't that just a great thing!!!

My new favorite Vape Juice is:

Maple pancakes...How sweet! Yummm..

"The Foam"

When we got our Personal Vapors (PV) it came with a battery, atomizer (atty) and cartridge (cart). The battery is what gives the atomizer the energy to "heat" up the coil inside while taking up the ejuice from the cart. The cart is filled with ejuice (whether it was filled from the vendor or from us dripping our own ejuice into it). The ejuice is held in the cart by the foam.

You will see the white foam in the black cart. When vaping with different ejuices it is best to clean them between different flavors so you don't mixed the flavors, although, sometimes mixing flavors can taste nice.

But after a while the foam will just become yucky. So make your way down to a pet store (PetSmart) and buy yourself  a box of FLUVAL filters used for fish tanks. The one I bought was the 3 pack and good for 104-205 filters. It costed me $3.70 for amount to last me 10 years (joking but it's plenty). Replace your foam often to keep it clean and fresh.

Best Forum so far...

I have been searching and reading all about ecigs for a few weeks now and found this website to be the most helpful:

Happy Vaping...

Past the one week mark!!!

Today is day 8 of vaping!!!! I cannot believe how good I feel already.Today DD introduced me to coffee and Menthol flavor...I am hooked!!For years I was a menthol smoker ..until I started coughing up blood. You would think that would be enough to quit but  Noooooo I just switched to Marlboro Lights thinking that was healthier..What did I know.I am so happy I can go back to menthol without all the chemicals and FIBERGLASS... Looking back who would smoke anything with fiberglass???? My journey with Vaping continues..Stay tuned....

Finally able to post

Hey Jenn here... So everything DD said is right on..I love my cigarettesand was a pretty hard sell..But after DD tried the Ecig and loved it I knew it was time to try!!!Best decision I ever made!!! I do want children and the thought of all the chemicals in my body killed me...but still I didn't quit.I am not someone to sell on something I don't believe in a 100 percent. But vaping has the exact effect minus 4000 chemicals. So once DD and I are determined to do something we give it all we have.DD being a runner like she said still wasn't enough to give up the cigs.Who knows what it would take but I don't want to smoke that long to find out.We will definitly be updating with our progress and everything we learn about vaping along the way.I am excited to become healthy again and who knows maybe run with DD one day....uummmmm...PROB NOT!! hahahahahah Happy vaping..stay tuned :)

Vaping around a smoker

I am very excited to report that I had gone to a friend's house last night who smokes. I went outside several times to "vape" with her while she smoked analogs. She was very interested in what I was doing and I wasn't interested in her analogs at all. I can't believe it...it's awesome!!!

The Mind Game

We are still going strong with Vaping. Of course there are times we both get edgy and want an Analog cig but once we vape, we are satisfied. Smilypurple said to me last week, "it's a mind game really." She couldn't have said it any better.
"I have found that having support and talking to someone who understands being a smoker to be beneficial in quitting. Talking to Smilypurple every day has helped me a great deal in dealing with some of the withdrawal symptoms because she is experiencing similiar withdrawals. They say that it's the nicotine that the smokers withdraws from and it is probably the truth but I also think that breaking the habits of true smoking is just as hard. Even though we are getting the nicotine in Ecigs, sometimes it is just not the same as smoking. As nasty as smoking smells, I sometimes miss it because I was around it my whole life. And that is where the "mind game" comes in. We have to keep reminding ourselves of the benefits of quitting Analogs. The time of day we smoke can be replaced with Vaping and that does make it easier to quit tobacco cigs." -Smilyblue

Quitting the "real" cigarette and the benefits:

What are the immediate benefits of quitting smoking?
The immediate health benefits of quitting smoking are substantial:
  • Heart rate and blood pressure, which are abnormally high while smoking, begin to return to normal.
  • Within a few hours, the level of carbon monoxide in the blood begins to decline.  (Carbon monoxide reduces the blood’s ability to carry oxygen.)
  • Within a few weeks, people who quit smoking have improved circulation, produce less phlegm, and don’t cough or wheeze as often.
  • Within several months of quitting, people can expect substantial improvements in lung function.
  • In addition, people who quit smoking will have an improved sense of smell, and food will taste better.
As I look at the list above I can tell you that after just 12 days of quitting I noticed some changes. I feel I can breathe deeper, my smell improved greatly and I am coughing up some nasty stuff. All of these things is giving me all the more reason to continue quitting and it's becoming harder to even think about picking up a real cig. I keep reminding myself that there are 4000 chemicals in Analog cigs and 3 in ecigs. I also remind myself of my goal of running a half marathon some day. So the mind game continues...

Battery life

One of the things we have noticed with the PVs is the battery life isn't that hot. The pen like PV batteries have a short life. They seem like they have a great life when you first get the starter kit in the mail but it's when you start to vape more that we found it not the case. Now Smilyblue is ahead of Smilypurple by almost a week with Vaping and can probably tell you more at this point but then again Smilyblue & Smilypurple smoke differently. Smilyblue got a lot a vape her first few days whereas Smilypurple didn't. Smilypurple was trying to suck it dry...LOL LOL ....kill me
Anyway, Smilyblue was able to get more of a vape because she really needed to drag long and slow to get a good vape. So with that being said, we did better with the "manual" batteries versus the automatic batteries. The automatic batteries have a cut of put of about 4 seconds and the manual batteries we can control how long we drag.

Hard to understand at first? Ya, Smilypurple will contest to that...hee hee

Any battery that has a "button" on it is a manual which means you can drag as long as you want. Just make sure that your cartridge doesn't go dry of ejuice...did you watch Doctor Vapor's videos? He explains that well. If not, please do...

Any way, the batteries that don't have a button is an automatic....

We are still learning batteries, supposedly there are batteries that can't fit on a regular 510 because it can burn it out...but wait, I don't know enough to understand but just make sure you understand that anytime they mention voltage on batteries that it does not fit on a regular 510 atty/cart....

stay tuned as we learn...

Riva 510

Liberty Flights
http://www.liberty-flights.com/products.asp

Smilyblue got her "PINK" Riva 510 today and the vapor is incredible. Smilypurple ordered a boring White Riva today and will probably get it in 4-5 days.

This a an excellent PV. The TH (throat hit) is fantastic and the vape is exactly what we smokers want.

Despatched in UK means: packaged and shiped...hee hee

Smilyblue's favorite ejuice so far has been the Ry4 from http://www.bluemistvaping.com/ The blueberry is Smilypurple's fav...

Quitting smoking

Smilyblue & Smilypurple here and we are trying to quit smoking. Let us tell you about us:

Smilyblue decided to quit smoking because she started running. She trained for her first 5K benefit run and did well (in her mind) and is training for a 10K. Smilyblue can run 6 miles but knows her performance is lacking due to smoking even if she makes sure she runs as soon as she gets up in the morning after 8hrs of smoke-free sleep. Oh and she has tried several methods of quitting from the nicotine patch, nicotine gum, Chantix medication, cutting down each day to quitting cold turkey. No success and has never been smoke-free for more then 24hrs. Smilyblue has been smoking for 27 years.

YUCK!!!
Smilypurple wants to have a kid and doesn't want to introduce toxic crap to the unborn, isn't she a great gal. Smilypurple has tried to quit smoking too but didn't want to lose her frequent breaks at work (just kidding). Smilypurple has been smoking for 20 years and isn't really ready to quit. Smilyblue is forcing ecigs on her.

On the serious note; SMOKING KILLS THE LUNGS and yes, we still want to smoke.

I like the ones on the left
Smilyblue & Smilypurple like the smell of clean clothes from the dryer, too bad the nice smell only lasts a few minutes before the cigs have their way with them. Don't get into Smilypurple's car if you hate the smell of cigarette smoke. You can go into Smilyblue's house cuz she doesn't smoke in the house just stay away from the back porch.

Okay, lets get going on the bloggin...

Having a quit-smoking counter on our desktop or phone gives us some inspiration; how much money we saved, how much life we gained, what are some of the benefits smoke free and etc. The link below has a counter at the end of the main page to put on your desktop. There are applications on phones as well if you have web connection.

So then Smilyblue found electronic cigarettes "ecigs" while searching on the web. She introduced ecigs to her best friend ,Smilypurple, and now they are both checking them out. There is much info out there on ecigs so Smilyblue & Smilypurple wanted to begin blogging now so they can add their findings as they go. Using ecigs is considered "vaping" not smoking. There is no tar or 4000 chemicals in ecigs like the real cigarettes. Real cigarettes are called analogs. Ecigs have 3 ingredients; water, nicotine and/or PG and VG and operated by using a battery and heating coil. They will explain more later.

Here is Smilyblue & Smilypurple:
We ordered our first The Yeti Starter Kit from http://www.altsmoke.com/. This is a 510...

We also purchased ejuice which is what makes the vapor to add to the cartridges. Fast shipping here. Ok, there is some terms that need to be clarified and should tell you what a ecig is and what it does. First off, ecigs are for adult use only and not really for non-smokers. Ecigs are for smokers trying to quit and may or may not work. But it's worth the try.

Look at the link below to begin:
http://www.howtovape.com/

Here are the parts to a ecig. There are many different types of ecigs but this gives a general explanation.

We suggest you go do some research and find some vendors on the web. Do not get ecigs from the Mall because they are way too expensive. Ecig starter kits should not be more then $40-60 and should contain 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, 5 cartridges and charger cord. Please share anything about the-vaping-world with us even if you don't believe in ecigs. We aren't sensitive...

We will return to post later after we learn more...

OH WAIT!!!....did I mention two very important things here?

Smilyblue has not had a real cigarette for 7 days
Smilypurple has not had a real cigarette for 1 1/2 days

NOW THAT IS INSPIRATION!!!
